For those of you who don’t know who Bernard Purdie is, listen up and listen up good. Bernard “Pretty” Purdie is best known for being the World’s Most Recorded Drummer. He has earnt this title over his many years of playing as a session drummer both in America and around the world. Throughout his career Bernard has worked with over 2500 different artists on over 4000 albums! Pretty cool, I know, but not as cool as this.
You see Bernard Purdie is also very well known for one other reason. It is his signature beat that has widely become known as the “Purdie Shuffle”. It’s a tough beat to master but well worth the effort. This one is a real crowd pleaser. And he’s a funny guy to boot! You’ll love this video.
