Here’s an awesome video for those of you who have always wondered how some of those drum line stick tricks are done. Sure this stuff takes a lot of drum stick practice to master, but how darn cool does it look. These drum stick tricks are sure to get you some more attention from the opposite sex!

For all those that want to improve their bass drum speed (and let’s face it, who doesn’t) here’s a very simple exercise by Mike Johnston to help speed things up. Remember to start slow and only increase your speed as you become more comfortable. Best of luck!

For those of you who don’t know who Bernard Purdie is, listen up and listen up good. Bernard “Pretty” Purdie is best known for being the World’s Most Recorded Drummer. He has earnt this title over his many years of playing as a session drummer both in America and around the world. Throughout his career Bernard has worked with over 2500 different artists on over 4000 albums! Pretty cool, I know, but not as cool as this.

You see Bernard Purdie is also very well known for one other reason. It is his signature beat that has widely become known as the “Purdie Shuffle”. It’s a tough beat to master but well worth the effort. This one is a real crowd pleaser. And he’s a funny guy to boot! You’ll love this video.
