For all those that want to improve their bass drum speed (and let’s face it, who doesn’t) here’s a very simple exercise by Mike Johnston to help speed things up. Remember to start slow and only increase your speed as you become more comfortable. Best of luck!

This is a good excersize to work on thanks. I can use all the little games , ideas to practice while learning to play. I’m an older student, (much to late pretty much) but love it and will continue to learn. I can’t take lessons at this time in my life. Like many in the states been working over a year part time due to job loss in Sept 2008.
I rely on friends and tips I watch online to learn for now.
