I love this guy! Bernard Purdie is one of those drummers that I could honestly watch for hours -- and it’s not just because of his talent as a drummer. Bernard is an entertainer and a great one at that -- his style of teaching is unlike any other. In this lesson today Bernard teaches a very simple Samba groove and helps clear up any confusion you may have between the Samba and Bossa styles. Enjoy peeps!

While trawling around Youtube I’m constantly finding little gold nuggets that I can work on and incorporate into my own drum playing -- sometimes it’s a little overwhelming just how much information we now have access to (damn, that’s a lot of work 
I found this short video today of a Steve Gadd inspired lick. The guy in this video does a pretty good job at explaining things -- it’s a pretty simple lick but one definitely worth adding to your pocket. If you’re ok with singles and doubles then this should be a breeze after a little bit of practice.
